Why is environmental training must for organizations?
The
environment and economy are said to be the two sides of the same coin. If the
environment is not maintained, the economy will also not stand. The businesses
which you all run are very much part of the environment and if you are
generating and disposing of the hazardous waste then you are answerable to
regulatory bodies. These regulatory bodies of environment exist at the city,
state, and country level, calling for you to deal with 3 or 4 different
agencies and bodies at the same time. Now all these government bodies
have their own set of rules, formalities, and regulations which needs to comply
on time. If one thing is here and there then your entire project may halt.
Thereby, its better to undergo an environment training. The benefits of
it are:
Up to date knowledge: The rules, working practices and guidelines of the
regulatory bodies keep changing and training helps in keeping people abreast
with all of it. Environmental training covers all the points like which all
regulations an organization need to comply with, what are the last dates for
it, how this entire procedure goes, what papers need to be submitted for it,
what officers need to be reported and what are the consequences of
noncompliance. It also teaches the trainee how to stay updated even years after
the training. Thus, the aim here is to impart complete knowledge about
environmental regulations.
Less of fines and legal issues: Now when the people in the organization
know that how to go about the entire environment regulations then I am
petty much sure that they won't goof up in the end. They will be regular with
all the submissions and follow all the systems properly, thus avoiding the
fines or legal issues.
Better image: Even after generating and disposing of the hazardous
waste if you are environmentally responsible as in you disposing the waste
sensibly and complying with all regulatory formalities then the image of your
brand will surely highlight in the business circle. People love to associate
with brands which are ethically and environmentally responsible.
Lastly,
environmental training is not an expense, it’s an investment, investment in
your business and employees which has long-term benefits. Your employees become
smarter and your business become more reputed and respectable. Undertaking
environmental training shows your commitment towards environment and your habit
of sharing good practices.
